Street Party

Build an alien or monster out of fruit and vegetables and bring it to the street party for the competition! Fabulous prizes for pre-school, infant and junior categories. Submit it at the beginning of the street party for judging. 50p entry. Please take your monsters to St Alban's hall before 2.30pm.

An open street party that fills Bayswater Avenue and spills into the grounds of St Alban's Church and Westbury Park School. The street party is a great opportunity for the whole community to get together, talk, play and have fun. Do bring your family along for the biggest afternoon of the year! Attractions include:
- A bouncy obstacle course
- Puppet show - always popular with children of all ages;
- A fancy dress parade and competition for the under 8s - dress up as the hero or heroine of your choice; meet at Westbury Park School infant gates at 2.50pm accompanied by an adult;
- Live music, including the Bristol Wind Training Band and the fabulous St Alban's organ;
- Daisy Chain Nursery are celebrating their 15th anniversary and are opening their garden, as will St Christopher's School who are celebrating 75 years.
- A wide variety of stalls - games, activities, food, local crafts;
- Ducks, toys, pottery and the wishing tree;
- Classic cars on display in the school playground;
- A raffle featuring awesome prizes;
- Teddy-bungee from the church roof! Those without furry friends can still enjoy the magnificant views;
- Hot and cold refreshments all afternoon: hog roast, light bar, ice creams, tea and biscuits from Jonathan house - and whatever is for sale on the stalls;

Provision will be made for wet weather so please do come whatever the clouds are doing.
No, we weren't in trouble! The police brought their riot van along for festival-goers to investigate. It was very popular and they hope to come again this year.
